Principles of three major types of voltage regulators

The voltage stabilizing methods of voltage regulators can be divided into three categories:

TypeI: oil immersed voltage regulators;

TypeII: Carbon brush voltage regulator;

TypeIII: Contactless voltage regulators.


Classified by phase number: three-phase voltage regulator and single-phase voltage regulator

I. Oil immersed voltage regulator:
1. Oil immersed voltage regulators are also known as intelligent voltage regulators or induction voltage regulators due to their lack of carbon brushes;
2. The overall capacity of the oil immersed voltage regulator is relatively large, and the movement adopts a brand new optimized design;

II. Carbon brush voltage regulator
The carbon brush voltage regulator detects the output voltage through the control circuit, and then calculates the voltage difference, and then drives the servo machine to rotate to remove the position of the carbon brush head on the Pressure regulator, so as to achieve a stable output position.

III. Contactless voltage regulator

The contactless voltage regulator is currently the most advanced voltage stabilizing equipment, and the product adopts DSP microcomputer control, which combines microcomputer control with thyristor drive technology. It can achieve the characteristics of fast voltage stabilization speed and high voltage stabilization accuracy.
